Official 'Johnny Reid Concert' Contest Rules

CAA Insurance's Johnny Reid Concert contest (the “Contest”) is intended only for attendees of Sloan’s April 19 performance, who have reached the age of majority of their province or territory of residence at the time of entry. This Contest will be interpreted according to federal and provincial law. CAA Niagara (hereafter referred to as the “Sponsor”) will conduct the Contest. 

 

1. CONTEST PERIOD: 

The contest begins on April 19, 2022 at 9:00:01 PM ET and concludes April 26, 2022 at 11:59:59 PM ET, the Contest Closing Date (hereafter referred to as the “Contest Period”).

 

2. ELIGIBILITY

Employees, officers, and directors (including immediate family members and members of the same household of such persons, including common-law spouses) of the Sponsor and/or its affiliated regional CAA motor clubs (hereafter collectively referred to as “CAA”) their affiliates, prize suppliers, advertising/promotion agencies and any entity involved in the development, production, implementation, administration, judging or fulfillment of the Contest are not eligible to enter the Contest. Entries may be made only by the original, manual keystrokes of the individual entrant without assistance of any kind including mechanical, form filling, other software or robotic assistance. By participating in this Contest, you signify your agreement that you have read and agree to be legally bound by the terms and conditions of these Official Rules and Regulations (the “Rules”).

 

3. HOW TO ENTER

 

To register for the contest and to receive one (1) Contest entry, the Concert Attendee must complete the form sent in the email following the Sloan concert.

By entering this Contest, you agree to be bound by the decisions of the Contest Sponsor, which are final and binding, without right of appeal with respect to all matters relating to the Contest.

 

4. PRIZES

One (1) Grand Prize will be awarded. The Grand Prize consists of two (2) tickets to Johnny Reid’s concert at the FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre in St. Catharines on October 13, 2022.

The Grand Prize has an approximate retail value of $158 CDN. The winner is not entitled to the monetary difference between the actual prize value and stated approximate prize value, if any. Prize must be accepted as awarded and is not transferrable or convertible to cash.

 

5. NOTIFICATION AND QUALIFICATION OF SELECTED ENTRANTS

On or about April 27, 2022 (the “Draw Date”) in Thorold, Ontario at approximately 2 pm ET, one (1) Grand Prize eligible winner will be selected by random draw from among all eligible Entries received during the Contest Period. The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible Entries received throughout the Contest Period. 

 

In order to be declared a winner by the Contest judges, the potential winner must be in compliance with these Official Contest Rules and Regulations and, in particular, the following: selected entrant must first correctly answer, unaided, a time-limited, mathematical skill-testing question. Eligible Prize Winner and his/her guest will be notified by email and/or telephone and will be required to sign and return a declaration of eligibility and a liability/publicity release pursuant to which the Prize Winner and his/her guest releases the Sponsor, its affiliates and related companies, advertising and promotional agencies, the independent contest organization and their respective shareholders, directors, officers, owners, partners, dealers, employees, agents successors and assigns (the “Releasees”) from and against all liability in connection with the Promotion and the awarding and use or misuse of the Prize and consents to the use of his/her name, address (city and province) voice, statements and/or photographs, without further remuneration, in connection with any publicity carried out by or on behalf of the Sponsor within ten (10) business days of notification. If the selected prize winner cannot be contacted by mail, email, or telephone or fails to correctly answer the skill-testing question or fails to return the Contest documents within the specified time, he/she will forfeit their prize and an alternate winner will be randomly selected without any liability to original potential prize winner to Sponsor whatsoever.  

 

6. GENERAL RULES

 

By entering the Contest, entrants agree to release CAA and its affiliated companies, and their officers, directors, employees, suppliers, sponsors, administrators, representatives and agents, including but not limited to CAA’s advertising and promotional agencies (the “Releasees”) from any and all liability claims or actions of any kind whatsoever arising from their participation in the Contest or use of a prize awarded as a result of this Contest.

 

CAA’s suppliers are independent third parties over which CAA does not exercise any control.  CAA is not responsible for the acts or omissions of these suppliers, nor does it assume any responsibility for any claims, losses, damages, costs, expenses, delays or loss of enjoyment to the winners.

 

By entering the Contest, entrants consent to the use of their personal information for the purposes described as follows. All entries become the property of CAA and none will be returned. By completing the Contest entry, all entrants consent to the collection, use, and distribution of their personal information by CAA for the purposes of administering the Contest and for any purpose required or permitted by law. CAA may, from time to time, upon consent of the entrant, use the personal information provided in connection with this Contest to (i) contact selected entrants for the purpose of notifying him/her, (ii) contact entrants directly regarding products and services provided by CAA and its affiliates, and (iii) research the effectiveness of websites and the marketing, advertising and sales efforts of CAA and its affiliates. By entering the Contest, entrants agree that the decisions of CAA are final and binding. CAA may, at its sole discretion, terminate or withdraw any Contest entry without liability and without notice to the entrant. CAA reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, modify or suspend this Contest for any reason including should a virus, bug, unauthorized human intervention or other cause beyond the reasonable control of CAA corrupt or affect the security or proper administration of the Contest. Any attempt to deliberately damage any website or to undermine the legitimate operation of this Contest is illegal, and should such an attempt be made, CAA reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including, where appropriate, criminal prosecution. Entries are subject to verification and will be declared invalid if they are illegible, mechanically reproduced, mutilated, forged, falsified, altered or tampered with in any way. CAA reserves the right to change the terms of this Contest or terminate it at any time, without prior notice.

 

Online entries must be made by the original, manual keystrokes of the individual entrant. Use of mechanical assistance, form filling software, or robotic assistance is prohibited.

 

Only one (1) entrant’s name may appear on the Contest form. In the event of a dispute as to the identity of a selected entrant based on an e-mail address, the winning Contest entry will be deemed to have been made by the Authorized Account Holder of the e-mail address at the time of entry. The “Authorized Account Holder” is the natural person who is assigned an e-mail address by an internet service provider, or other organization responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the e-mail address in question.

 

CAA assumes no responsibility for entries which are late, lost, stolen, damaged, illegible, incomplete, misdirected, postage due, destroyed or delayed. CAA assumes no responsibility for any failure of the Contest website or computer systems during the Contest Period, for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any Contest entry including an online Contest entry to be received by CAA on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, or any combination thereof including any injury or damage to an entrant’s or any other person’s property (including computer) related to or resulting from participating in, or downloading any material in relation to the Contest. 

 

By accepting a prize in this Contest, entrants consent to the use of their name, city of residence, voice, photograph, image or likeness in any publicity or advertisement carried out by CAA in connection with this Contest without any further compensation.

 

This Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, and municipal laws and shall be governed by the laws of Ontario.

 

All applicable federal, provincial and municipal taxes are the sole responsibility of the winners.
