The Big Food Boost: August 1st - 24th
Join us as we come together to collect food donations for Feed Niagara!
Throughout the month of August, CAA Niagara is calling on its Members to assist in the fight against hunger in Niagara. Non-perishable food will be collected all month long to support Feed Niagara.
Feed Niagara represents 10 regional food banks who share the goal to stop hunger in our community with care & compassion:
- Community Care, St. Catharines & Thorold
- Community Care of West Niagara
- GBF Community Services
- Newark Neighours
- Pelham Cares
- Port Cares
- Project SHARE
- The Hope Centre
- The Salvation Army Fort Erie
- West Lincoln Community Care
CAA Niagara will be accepting food and monetary donations at our branches:
- St Catharines Branch (Pen Centre - 221 Glendale Avenue)
- Welland Branch (Seaway Mall - 800 Niagara Street)
- Niagara Falls Branch (6788 Thorold Stone Road)
- Grimsby Branch (155 Main Street East)
When you stop in to make a donation, receive a FREE Ferris Wheel voucher for the World Rowing Championships Mega Worlds Fan Festival in Port Dalhousie!

Please note that each food bank has different needs that change and are updated on their websites and social media.
- Beans (baked, kidney, chickpeas, lentils)
- Canned Pasta (SpaghettiO's, Beefaroni)
- Dry Pasta
- Pasta Sauce (cans preferred over jars)
- Rice, Quinoa, Couscous
- Canned Veggies
- Canned Proteins (chicken, fish, turkey, ham, sardines etc.)
- Stews, Chili, Soup (the best options include protein!)
- Broths
- Sidekicks, Kraft Dinner and Ramen
- Coffee (instant & ground)
- Tea
- Hot & Cold Cereals
- Pancake Mix and Syrup
- Canned Fruit
- Peanut Butter & Jam
- Fruit Juice, Juice Boxes
- Children’s Snacks (granola bars, cookies, fruit cups, crackers, pudding, Jell-O, applesauce, Bear Paws, Goldfish, etc.)
- Baby Food, including Rice Cereal
- Baby Formula
- Small Bags of Flour
- Small Bags of Sugar
- Cooking Oils (canola, olive, sunflower, etc.)
- Condiments (ketchup, mustard, mayo, salad dressing, cooking oil)
- Dried Spices, Salt & Pepper
- Oat, Almond or Soy Milk
- Shelf-Stable Milk (e.g. condensed, powdered, rice, etc.)
- Boost/Ensure
- Gluten Free Foods
- Sugar Free Snacks
- Vegan Foods
- Toilet Paper/Paper Towel/Kleenex
- Toiletries (toothpaste, toothbrushes, feminine hygiene products, shampoo, soap, deodorant)
