Official Rules & Regulations
1. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY
No purchase is necessary to enter or win. The New Year, New Driver Era Contest (the “Contest”) is presented by CAA Niagara with AAPEX Driving Academy. The Contest runs from January 6, 2026 at 12:00 a.m. ET to January 23, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. ET (the “Contest Period”). By entering, participants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and all applicable laws.
2. ELIGIBILITY
The Contest is open exclusively to high school students in the Niagara Region and Dunnville, who are legal residents of Ontario, Canada and 16 years of age or older at the time of entry.
Employees, officers, directors, agents, and immediate family members of CAA Niagara and AAPEX Driving and their respective affiliates and subsidiaries are not eligible to participate. Immediate family includes spouse, partner, parent, child, or sibling, whether or not they reside in the same household.
3. HOW TO ENTER
During the Contest Period, eligible students must either fill out a ballot online by scanning the QR Code located on the contest posters posted at each participation high school / visiting https://info.caaniagara.ca/new-driver-era-contest-2026 or by filling out a paper ballot located at their high school's main office.
Limit of one (1) entry per member. Entries must be received during the Contest Period to be eligible.
4. WINNER SELECTION
Two (2) eligible entrants will be selected at random from all valid entries received during the Contest Period. The odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received.
5. PRIZE
Two (2) prizes are available to be won: a full G2 beginner driver's education program with AAPEX Driving, equivalent to the value of $795.00 + HST = $899.00. The prize must be accepted as awarded and has no cash value. It is non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and non-refundable.
6. WINNER NOTIFICATION & CONFIRMATION
The selected entrant will be notified by their high school using the contact information provided at entry. To be confirmed as the winner, the selected entrant must:
- have a parent or legal guardian sign and return a Declaration of Eligibility and Release within five (10) business days of notification on behalf of the student, which will therefore act as parental or legal guardian consent to receive and register for the prize
Failure to comply may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner.
7. PRIZE FULFILLMENT
Once confirmed, course arrangements will be coordinated directly with the winner's parent or legal guardian. Any costs or expenses not expressly included in the prize are the sole responsibility of the winner. In order to receive a Certificate of Completion, the program must be completed and passed within 1 year from beginning date as per Ministry of Transportation regulations.
Should the winner not pass or complete the program in the allotted time or fail to pass the program within the given amount of program hours, it will be the parent/legal guardian's responsibility to purchase additional lessons in order for the student to obtain a passing grade to receive certification.
8. GENERAL CONDITIONS
By accepting the prize, the winner consents to the use of their name, city of residence, and likeness for promotional purposes related to the Contest by AAPEX Driving and CAA Niagara, without further compensation, unless prohibited by law with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, and municipal laws.
Personal information collected will be used solely for the administration of the Contest in accordance with CAA Niagara’s Privacy Policy.
